Sur le papier, c&rsquo;est le genre de chiffre qui met la pression aux routi\u00e8res europ\u00e9ennes, surtout quand la voiture se positionne dans la zone de prix d&rsquo;une Skoda Octavia ou d&rsquo;une Superb iV.<\/p>\n<p>Mais si tu comptes sur elle pour faire un \u00ab\u00a0Paris, Rome, sans t&rsquo;arr\u00eater\u00a0\u00bb, il faut regarder les conditions r\u00e9elles. Un essai longue distance a tent\u00e9 <strong>1 500 km<\/strong> avec un seul plein, et la voiture a montr\u00e9 qu&rsquo;elle savait aller loin, mais pas sans compromis. Entre la taille de batterie, la vitesse de recharge et le rythme sur autoroute, la Seal 6 DM-i fait trembler l&rsquo;Europe, oui, mais pas sur tous les crit\u00e8res.<\/p>\n<h2>Un test de 1 500 km met en lumi\u00e8re la promesse BYD<\/h2>\n<p>Le sc\u00e9nario \u00e9tait volontairement simple, partir loin et voir jusqu&rsquo;o\u00f9 la Seal 6 <strong>DM-i<\/strong> pouvait aller sans multiplier les arr\u00eats. Sur un trajet comprenant environ <strong>250 km<\/strong> d&rsquo;autoroute au d\u00e9part, l&rsquo;id\u00e9e \u00e9tait de n&rsquo;effectuer qu&rsquo;un seul plein et de ne recharger qu&rsquo;une seule fois la batterie. R\u00e9sultat concret, les watts de la batterie ont \u00e9t\u00e9 consomm\u00e9s sur la premi\u00e8re partie, et la suite s&rsquo;est jou\u00e9e davantage sur l&rsquo;essence.<\/p>\n<p>Ce test montre surtout l&rsquo;\u00e9cart entre le slogan et l&rsquo;usage. D\u00e9passer <strong>1 100<\/strong> \u00e0 <strong>1 200 km<\/strong> avec un plein et une recharge, c&rsquo;est jug\u00e9 atteignable, ce qui est d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9norme pour une familiale. En revanche, la barre des <strong>1 500 km<\/strong> n&rsquo;est pas tenue dans ces conditions. Pour y arriver, il faut s&rsquo;arr\u00eater et recharger <strong>2 \u00e0 3 fois<\/strong> la batterie pendant le trajet, ce qui change la nature du \u00ab\u00a0long trajet sans contrainte\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Et c&rsquo;est l\u00e0 que le d\u00e9tail compte, la charge n&rsquo;est pas ultra-rapide. La Seal 6 DM-i est annonc\u00e9e avec une puissance de charge maximale de <strong>23 kW<\/strong>, et un essai a observ\u00e9 jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 <strong>28 kW<\/strong> dans certaines circonstances. C&rsquo;est mieux que pr\u00e9vu, mais \u00e7a reste loin de ce qu&rsquo;on attend d&rsquo;un arr\u00eat express sur autoroute. Si tu es press\u00e9, tu vas le sentir, m\u00eame si tu \u00e9conomises des passages \u00e0 la pompe.<\/p>\n<h2>Une PHEV de 4,8 m qui vise Octavia et Astra<\/h2>\n<p>La Seal 6 DM-i joue clairement la carte de la familiale, avec environ <strong>4,8 m<\/strong> de long et deux carrosseries, berline ou break. Dans le paysage europ\u00e9en, elle se place face \u00e0 des mod\u00e8les comme la <strong>Skoda<\/strong> Octavia et la Superb iV, ou encore des alternatives PHEV plus compactes comme la <strong>Vauxhall<\/strong> Astra. M\u00eame si tu pr\u00e9f\u00e8res les SUV, le march\u00e9 regorge de choix, mais BYD vise ceux qui veulent du volume, du coffre et de l&rsquo;\u00e9quipement.<\/p>\n<p>C\u00f4t\u00e9 technique, les sources convergent sur une offre de batteries entre <strong>10<\/strong> et <strong>19 kWh<\/strong>, avec une autonomie \u00e9lectrique annonc\u00e9e de <strong>34 \u00e0 65 miles<\/strong> selon version. Un premier roulage mentionne aussi jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 <strong>62 miles<\/strong> en \u00e9lectrique, et des \u00e9missions de <strong>38 g\/km<\/strong>, des chiffres qui parlent aux flottes et aux gros rouleurs qui alternent ville et voie rapide. Sur le plan des performances, on est sur une puissance syst\u00e8me de <strong>212 ch<\/strong> et un 0 \u00e0 62 mph en <strong>8,5 s<\/strong>, suffisant pour une familiale.<\/p>\n<p>Le point qui pique un peu, c&rsquo;est que certaines critiques trouvent la voiture moins agr\u00e9able \u00e0 mener que les meilleures PHEV familiales. Ce n&rsquo;est pas une question de sportivit\u00e9, l&rsquo;attente, c&rsquo;est une conduite calme et reposante. Or, la Seal 6 DM-i est jug\u00e9e \u00ab\u00a0correcte\u00a0\u00bb sur le rapport prix, \u00e9quipement et praticit\u00e9, mais en retrait sur le confort de roulage et le raffinement. Si tu fais 600 km d&rsquo;une traite, ce genre de d\u00e9tail peut peser autant que l&rsquo;autonomie.<\/p>\n<h2>Prix, charge et agr\u00e9ment: ce qui peut freiner l&rsquo;Europe<\/h2>\n<p>En Grande-Bretagne, la Seal 6 DM-i est affich\u00e9e entre <strong>32,990<\/strong> et <strong>37,990<\/strong>, avec un niveau d&rsquo;\u00e9quipement pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 comme g\u00e9n\u00e9reux pour le prix. C&rsquo;est l\u00e0 que BYD appuie fort, une familiale PHEV bien dot\u00e9e, dans les prix de rivales connues, mais avec l&rsquo;argument de l&rsquo;autonomie totale tr\u00e8s \u00e9lev\u00e9e. Pour un acheteur, \u00e7a peut se traduire par moins d&rsquo;angoisse sur les longs trajets, surtout hors r\u00e9seau de recharge dense.<\/p>\n<p>Mais la recharge maximale annonc\u00e9e \u00e0 <strong>23 kW<\/strong> remet une contrainte dans l&rsquo;\u00e9quation. Sur un long trajet, si tu veux viser les chiffres les plus ambitieux, tu dois recharger plus souvent, et tu ne recharges pas \u00e0 des puissances qui rendent l&rsquo;arr\u00eat \u00ab\u00a0invisible\u00a0\u00bb. Dans la vraie vie, \u00e7a peut pousser certains conducteurs \u00e0 rouler davantage en hybride thermique une fois la batterie vid\u00e9e, ce qui r\u00e9duit l&rsquo;int\u00e9r\u00eat d&rsquo;une grosse batterie si tu ne peux pas la regarnir vite.<\/p>\n<p>Dernier point, l&rsquo;agr\u00e9ment. Une note de <strong>6\/10<\/strong> a \u00e9t\u00e9 attribu\u00e9e par un guide d&rsquo;achat, avec l&rsquo;id\u00e9e que beaucoup de PHEV familiales sont plus satisfaisantes \u00e0 conduire. Si tu es du genre \u00e0 comparer, tu vas mettre dans la balance la douceur de suspension, le silence, la stabilit\u00e9 \u00e0 haute vitesse, et pas seulement le chiffre d&rsquo;autonomie.
